Basting pics

Here was the first layer, the backing, of basting my quilt on the floor.  Next I put the backing over it.

 And finally the top went down.

It was two hours of crawling around on my kitchen floor, but it finally got pin basted and is now ready to be quilted.  Today I didn't do any sewing, but I did oil the machine and wind ten bobbins.  Also cleared off the tables so that I can dive right into quilting.

I made two lasagna's for dinner, one with meat and one without.  In Nick's I put slices of zuccini to give it a little punch.  We had salad and garlic bread with it.  I had cut up a watermelon last night and we have been eating it like crazy.
