We are blessed

It was nowhere near the devastation that we are seeing come out of Oklahoma, however we experienced an EF 2 tornado in my little town last night.  Here are a few pictures:

Above is the two sections of fence that are down in my yard.
Above is the tree that fell on my dad's garage.
The town clock church on our main street.  The stained glass windows below the clock were broken.
A car blown over onto it's roof.

There were NO INJURIES during this storm.  Lots of damage and town is a mess, but it's just that.  A mess.  Everyone has been working on clean up all day today.  Our fence will have to be fixed soon, but Ev is working 12 hour days and whatever he can do before the weekend will be enough.  Then this weekend we will get it done for good, hopefully.

In the meantime, I will be walking Ivy instead of letting her loose in the fenced yard.  That's not so bad.

Here's a link to one of the St. Louis, MO news stations.  There is also a slide show of pictures.  http://www.kmov.com/news/local/Multiple-businesses--208278641.html

I'm glad y'all are okay. I'm still sorry for your sweet little broken town.
(We don't have many tornadoes in NM--although we have plenty of dust storms and plenty of dust devils--some of them almost as big as a tornado.

Oh my goodness! I didn't realise that you were hit as well, what a time for it. It is hard to get too upset about a fence though isn't it, when you see the Oklahoma City pictures. Take care of yourselves.

thank you ladies for your kind comments. i am not upset about any of it because we really are just fine. fixing a fence is a small thing when you can still go into the house with your family all there and sleep under a roof and have food on the table. just need to keep oklahoma in our prayers. hard to believe that the death toll wasn't more than in the 20's with all that destruction.
