Still Alive

Just want everyone to know we are still alive.  Pandemic is running rampant in the country.  Husband is still working because making cardboard boxes is essential...  I am working from home and have been since April.  Both kids are on unemployment, but luckily their spouses are still working.

Please, please keep our family in your prayers.  We are all staying healthy, and are very thankful for that.  Hubby is not in the best of health and I am terrified he will get COVID.

I pray that all my internet friends are staying healthy as well.

Have made many masks in the past few months.

Also made some aprons for me, Mom, and Mary.  Found a neat little pattern on Pinterest and adapted it to fit us all.

Didn't put out many flowers this year.  I have a basket with some petunias in it that were a gift as well as a hanging basket that was a gift.  The hot and humid weather along with me remembering to water them, has made them grow well!

We have a new kitty named Bess.  She is all black and has long hair.  My son in law found her in a ditch near his work at the end of September.  She was in horrible shape, full of fleas, eyes matted shut, and a respiratory issue.  Daughter cleaned her up really well and nursed her back to health.  I took her after a couple weeks and she now is the boss of the house.  Or so she thinks.  haha  She has been to the vet and he gave her a thumbs up.  Even though she had a respiratory deal going on, he said she would be okay if we just loved her and took care of her.  He was so right.  She fits right in with Shadow and Addy.

On another note, I hope that everyone in the United States uses their voice and votes in the upcoming election.  I had to step away from the blog because of my political views and did not feel I could keep this blog from becoming extremely negative over the past few years.  I have no respect for the current administration.  Praying it all is changed after November.

Hope everyone is staying well and staying safe!

Right there with you on the politics of today. Hopefully we are near the end. We are staying in and keeping healthy too. My mom is older and has cancer and my daughter is pregnant so really trying to be careful. Glad to be sewing since that takes up lots of my time and keeps me from getting bored!

Amen sister! And thank you for taking in the precious kitty :-) I'm retired and hubster has requested work-at-home continue until this is over. Permission was granted and we are both very thankful. I recently retired so were snuggly safe at home!

I second your political hope that everyone will vote for a big change! You have your hands full and many good reasons for pandemic worry. Let's hope people wake up soon and that a vaccine will be a.s.a.c.b. (as swift as can be)!

Lovely to hear from you and glad that you are all hanging in there! I'm so sorry about what is happening in your country, we are watching in shock from here, it really didn't have to be like this ... Keep looking after yourselves, it could be for the long haul sadly. Bess sounds adorable, and aren't all cats boss of the house? We are not at the mask stage yet but could be in the future, finally sewing is of some practical use :) Take care
