To hand bind or not to hand bind

That is the question I ask...  Oh, forget it, I was never into poetry.  Tonight I pressed the material for the binding on the 36 patch, cut it into strips, and sewed the strips together.  Now I have to make up my mind whether I want to hand bind or machine bind it.  If I hand bind it, I need to machine sew it to the top of the quilt.  If I machine bind it, I need to sew it to the bottom of the quilt first.  I will probably machine bind it, because it's so much quicker.  It's just so much neater looking when it's done by hand, though.  sigh.
