Spool Time

I joined Bonnie Hunter's Leader Ender Spool Challenge a bit late in the year.  I really don't have too many done.  Here they are with the bucket I keep them in and their little pieces all ready to be sewn into blocks.

I've got a grand total of 53 spool blocks made.  Today I figured that I will need over 1000 to make a quilt of just spool blocks to fit a king size bed.  What does it say about being a quilter when 1000+ pieces really doesn't scare me?

Bonnie has moved on to a new block for leader enders this year.  I think I'm going to continue with the spool blocks, though. Check out what everyone else did during the challenge:  http://quiltville.blogspot.com/2013/07/leader-ender-spool-review-link-up.html

You are ambitious! I am hoping I have enough for lap size--I haven't counted them but would guess I might have 200..or it could be wishful thinking! Can't wait to see yours when it is done.

The little blocks are cute, but you do need a LOT for a large project! Good luck with you progress but ... would have loved to see some of them laid out so we could see them better :)

I'll be making spools for quite a while still too...
